It was February of 1999 when an existing lumber yard in Worthington, Iowa was purchased by Mark and Janet Stelken and was renamed Century Building Products, Inc. At the time, Mark and Janet had three employees and business was good, so good that over the next few years additional staff was hired and the thought of a larger facility entered their minds. This thought became reality in November of 2003 when Century Building Products, Inc moved to it's present location on the North edge of Worthington.
In November of 2004, Century Building Products, Inc would experience the first of two expansions. The first being a lumber aisle that was needed for additonal inventory and the second was a 3240 sq. ft. door and window building that was built in the summer of 2005.
Over the last ten years, Century Building Products, Inc went from three employees to eighteen employees and has seen tremendous growth in their facility. While some physical aspects might have changed over the years, one thing has not, and that's our commitment to customer service.
It has been a pleasure to serve the Worthington and surrounding area for the last ten years and we look forward to many more years of being one of the areas leading building material suppliers.
We are located 4 miles South of Dyersville, IA on Hwy 136, on the North edge of Worthington.
